Web Summit ’19
Last week was the Web Summit 2019. Over the course of four days, Lisbon heard from 1,206 speakers, with topics like innovation, sustainability, and technology emerging as the trends of the conference. We’re happy to share that three of our clients rocked this year’s Web Summit.
André Jordão, CEO and founder of Barkyn, took the main stage to launch Magic Box, an artificially intelligent dog-feeding station. It’s an intelligent, application-linked magic box that can understand when your dog’s food needs to be restocked.
In addition to telling owners about the need to stock the “food pantry”, the magic box also provides insights that may benefit your pet’s health.
On the third day, Lisa Lang (founder & CEO of ElektroCouture), took the Modum stage to talk under the theme “AR you ready for it? The personalisation of fashion”.
Lisa Lang is a European entrepreneur, technologist and international keynote speaker. From her experience as an entrepreneur, she has gained recognition as one of Forbes Europe’s Top 50 Women in Tech, top 100 most influential people in wearable tech worldwide, one of 25 leaders in fashion and technology worldwide, and has been listed as one of the 50 most important women for innovation & startups in the EU.
After ThePowerHouse, a “FashionTech agency”, and ElektroCouture, Lisa has now settled in Porto, with a new company: O Fundamento. Recently we joined forces creating this new adventure and we couldn’t be happier!
ScaleUp Porto was also there, with Re:load | ScaleUp Porto Drinks & Dinner, at Pavilhão do Conhecimento. This event gathered the community from Porto attending the event and some of their new and old national and international friends. This event was also organised in collaboration with Porto Design Accelerator that was there with some of its startups, showcasing the work developed as part of the program.
Here’s to a great edition and hoping that next year’s will have even more clients of ours!
